TMIC spans six prestigious universities, encompassing nine nodes, each equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Renowned as one of the world’s leading metabolomics centres, TMIC offers extensive metabolomics and lipidomics services. This distinguished position reflects our commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and providing cutting-edge solutions in the ever-evolving landscape of metabolomics research.
Li Node
Based at the University of Alberta, the Li Node is an integral part of The Metabolomics Innovation Centre (TMIC) under the expert leadership of TMIC’s Co-Director, Dr. Liang Li. Our node is celebrated for its contributions to metabolomics research with a particular focus on mass spectrometry. It has distinguished itself by developing innovative tools for comprehensive analysis of small molecules, including our unique Chemical Isotope Labeling LC-MS platform. Our advanced techniques allow us to identify biomarkers and analyze metabolites involved in metabolomic pathways from various sample types. At the Li Node, we offer specialized services that include Untargeted and Targeted Metabolomics, Lipidomics Profiling, Microbiome Metabolite Assay (MMA), and Plant Metabolome Assay (PMA). Our team’s expertise is evident in diverse fields such as clinical research, biomedical studies, bioproduct analysis, nutrient profiling, and agricultural/environmental testing.
